AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO MONITOR THE BOLL WEEVIL AND PINK BOLLWORM SITUATION IN SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to monitor the boll weevil and pink bollworm situation in south central and southwest New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
