AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BORDER AUTHORITY TO EXTEND THE SANTA TERESA NORTHBOUND PORT OF ENTRY HOURS OF OPERATION TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT FOR ONE YEAR.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the border authority for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to allow the Santa Teresa port of entry to extend hours of operation to 12:00 midnight for its northbound traffic for a period of one year. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
