    Your SAFETY AND CIVIL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 62

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike "CERTIFIED REGIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING FACILITIES" and insert in lieu thereof "SATELLITE ACADEMIES".

     2. On page 2, strike lines 4 through 7 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following subsection:

          "E. "satellite academy" means a law enforcement training academy that is based at a community college, college or university in the state and is not associated with a particular law enforcement agency;".

     3. On page 3, line 1, strike "regional facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academies".

     4. On page 3, line 13, strike "and regional facility".

     5. On page 4, line 4, strike "regional facility" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academy".

     6. On page 5, line 19, strike "regional facility" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academy".

     7. On page 5, line 22, strike "regional facility" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academy".

     8. On page 6, line 10, strike "regional facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academies".

     9. On page 7, line 6, strike "B" and insert in lieu thereof "C".

     10. On page 7, line 8, strike "regional facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "satellite academies".

     11. On page 7, lines 15 and 16, strike "Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)".

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
