AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A HOMELESS SHELTER IN THE CITY OF GALLUP.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five million dollars ($5,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2016 and 2017 for the construction and operation of a homeless shelter in the city of Gallup. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
