AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DESIGN AND RECONSTRUCTION OF NEW MEXICO STATE HIGHWAY 434 TO REMOVE HAZARDOUS CURVES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ten million dollars ($10,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years 2016 and 2017 to design and reconstruct sections of state highway 434 to remove roadway curves that pose safety hazards. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
