AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO FUND ONGOING RESEARCH RELATED TO POVERTY THROUGH THE GEOSPATIAL AND POPULATION STUDIES PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2016 through 2018 to fund ongoing research related to poverty through the geospatial and population studies program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
