Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 473
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 12, after the semicolon, insert "ENACTING CIVIL AND CRIMINAL PENALTIES;".
2. On page 9, line 5, after "Act", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 6 up to the semicolon.
3. On page 40, line 22, strike "transmitted", and insert in lieu thereof "made available".
4. On page 44, line 20, after "not", insert "more than ten days".
5. On page 44, line 22, strike "twenty", and insert in lieu thereof "fifty".
6. On page 59, lines 4 through 9, strike Section 1003 in its entirety.
7. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.
8. On page 61, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new sections:
"SECTION 1005. DELAYED REPEAL.--Section 58-20-1 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1965, Chapter 293, Section 1, as amended) is repealed effective July 1, 2016.
SECTION 1006. TEMPORARY PROVISION--LICENSEE TRANSITION.--The director of the financial institutions division of the regulation and licensing department shall promulgate such rules as are necessary to transition licensees pursuant to Section 58-20-1 NMSA 1978 to the licensing provisions of the Uniform Money Services Act.".
9. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
