AN ACT
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO FUND THREE-DIMENSIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES AND TO PROVIDE OUTREACH AND EDUCATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--
A. One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the tobacco settlement program fund to the department of health in fiscal year 2016 to purchase three-dimensional mammography equipment, to provide three-dimensional mammography services to women eligible for medicaid or the breast and cervical cancer screening program and to provide outreach and education, or to contract with a third party to provide outreach and education, concerning three-dimensional mammography. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall not revert to the tobacco settlement program fund.
B. One million eight hundred thousand dollars ($1,800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health in fiscal year 2016 to purchase three-dimensional mammography equipment, to provide three-dimensional mammography services to women eligible for medicaid or the breast and cervical cancer screening program and to provide outreach and education, or to contract with a third party to provide outreach and education, concerning three-dimensional mammography. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall not revert to the general fund.
