SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 278

Amendment sponsored by Senator Jacob R. Candelaria

    1. On page 1, line 23, strike the colon, strike lines 24 and 25 and on page 2, strike lines 1 and 2 and insert in lieu thereof "a developmental disability as defined in Subsection A of Section

28-16A-6 NMSA 1978, or its successor act, and that the individual's health or safety is at risk;".

    2. On page 2, line 9, after "child", insert "or of an adult with a developmental disability".

    3. On page 3, strike lines 2 through 5 and insert the following new paragraph:

             "(7) has a developmental disability as defined in Subsection A of Section 28-16A-6 NMSA 1978, or its successor act, and whose health or safety is reasonably believed to be at risk;".
