AN ACT

RELATING TO PUBLIC EDUCATION; TEMPORARILY DELAYING THE USE OF CERTAIN STUDENT TEST SCORES IN TEACHER EVALUATIONS AND ANNUAL SCHOOL GRADES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. TEMPORARY PROVISION--DELAY USE OF STUDENT TEST SCORES.--Student test scores on standards-based assessments for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years shall not be included in the determination of annual letter grades for schools pursuant to Section 22-2E-4 NMSA 1978. Student test scores on standards-based assessments for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years shall not be included in the annual performance evaluations of licensed school employees pursuant to Section 22-10A-19 NMSA 1978.
