    Your CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 199

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On pages 1 and 2, strike Section 2 in its entirety.

    2. Renumber succeeding sections accordingly.

    3. On pages 3 and 4, strike Sections 3, 4 and 5 in their entirety.

    4. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.

    5. On page 4, line 24, after "make", strike the remainder of the line and on line 25, strike "mercedes" and insert in lieu thereof "direct payments to vendors".

    6. On page 4, line 25, after "project", strike the remainder of the line and on page 5, strike line 1 and insert in lieu thereof:

"; provided that the board of trustees of the land grant-merced receiving the qualifying project has certified that the product or construction element for that project has been delivered.".

    7. On page 5, line 3, strike "legislature" and insert in lieu thereof "the appropriate legislative interim committee".

    8. On page 5, line 4, after "year", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 5 and strike line 6 through "requests,".

    9. On page 5, line 7, strike "and dollar amounts of the loans that were made" and insert in lieu thereof "of qualifying projects completed and pending completion".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
