AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A WORK FORCE NEEDS ANALYSIS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 to develop and implement a work force gap forecasting model that will identify: the statewide number and types of jobs that are most likely to be available in the future; the skills, knowledge and experience that those jobs will require; the education and training currently being delivered to residents; and the corresponding deficiencies in meeting future work force demands. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
