SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 63

Amendment sponsored by Senator Cervantes

    1. On page 1, line 13, after the semicolon, insert "LIMITING WATER PROJECT AUTHORIZATIONS;".

    2. On page 14, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new section:

    "SECTION 2. A new section of the Water Project Finance Act is enacted to read:

    "[NEW MATERIAL] VOIDING OF AUTHORIZATION.--The legislative authorization for a qualifying entity to receive a grant or loan from the water project fund for a project is void three years after that authorization is given, but this provision does not prohibit the legislature from authorizing a project that was previously authorized."".

    3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
