AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONERS THAT GRADUATE FROM NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY AND REMAIN IN NEW MEXICO FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS FOLLOWING GRADUATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred ninety-five thousand dollars ($395,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 to increase the number of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners that graduate from the university and remain in New Mexico for at least three years following graduation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
