AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF CONSTRUCTING A DIVERSION DAM FOR THE COLONIAS COMMUNITY DITCH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 to study the feasibility of constructing a diversion dam for the colonias community ditch. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
