AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD ENTREPRENEURS TO CREATE A STATEWIDE FOOD INFRASTRUCTURE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million four hundred thousand dollars ($1,400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 and subsequent fiscal years to support agricultural and food entrepreneurs in creation of a statewide food infrastructure to connect rural producers to consumers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
