AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 for the statewide New Mexico small business development center at Santa Fe community college to promote job creation by enhancing core services, expanding assistance to small businesses and implementing recommendations of the jobs council. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
