AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO STUDY HOW NEW MEXICO SHOULD FINANCE EMERGENCY SERVICES STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 to conduct a study by the injury prevention and emergency medical services bureau of the public health division of the department of health to determine how the state can best finance emergency services statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
