AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE SOUTHWEST TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND DEMONSTRATION OF SMART GRID, MICRO GRID AND RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 and subsequent fiscal years for the southwest technology development institute to support smart grid, micro grid and renewable energy development and demonstration. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
