AN ACT

RELATING TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT; RESTRICTING THE CASELOAD OF CASEWORKERS TO A MAXIMUM OF FIFTEEN CASES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. A new section of the Children's Code is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] CASELOAD LIMIT.--Caseworkers of the department shall be limited to a maximum caseload of fifteen cases."

     SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is July 1, 2014.
