AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BERNALILLO COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE TRAINING RELATED TO AN ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 for the Bernalillo county fire department to implement an active shooter response program and to train personnel on how to respond to active shooter incidents. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
