AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN TAOS COUNTY FOCUSED ON COMMUNITY-BASED AGRICULTURE AND MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BUSINESSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to allow Taos county to contract with a community organization to provide economic development programs that will include courses on food manufacturing, food preservation, nutrition, gardening, raising livestock and management of agricultural businesses. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
