AN ACT
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--
A. Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 for the autism programs at the university of New Mexico to develop and provide clinical services, which are founded on evidence-based treatment practices, for children with autism spectrum disorders and significant problem behaviors. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
B. One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the behavioral health services division of the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to create an autism oversight team composed of members of the interagency behavioral health purchasing collaborative, representatives of the centennial care managed care organizations and selected stakeholders to develop and implement a system-of-care approach to services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
