FOR THE ECONOMIC AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR DENTAL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE WESTERN INTERSTATE COMMISSION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to increase the number of dental students who may participate in the western interstate commission for higher education program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
