AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR A CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM IN CHAVES, EDDY AND LEA COUNTIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to establish and operate a crisis response team, including victims advocates, courthouse dogs, forensic interviewers and therapists, to respond to crises in Chaves, Eddy and Lea counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
