AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING IN CIBOLA AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to contract with an appropriate housing services entity to provide a minimum of twenty housing units in Cibola and McKinley counties for senior citizens who are at least fifty-five years of age. To the extent practicable, any housing services entity receiving the money from this appropriation, shall ensure the money is leveraged with federal funds. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
