AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS STATEWIDE WITH THE COST OF INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the workforce solutions department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to assist high school students throughout New Mexico in paying fees associated with achieving appropriate required industry certification in their chosen careers and technical education fields. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
