FOR THE LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION STUDY COMMITTEE

AN ACT

RELATING TO SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INSTALLATIONS AND OPERATIONS OF SECURITY AND GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM DEVICES FOR SCHOOL BUS SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred eighty-nine thousand dollars ($889,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to provide for installations and operations of security and global positioning system devices for school buses. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
