AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INCREASED COSTS OF PROVIDING SERVICES TO STUDENTS SEEKING GENERAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CERTIFICATES UNDER THE NEW REQUIREMENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 for the Roswell and Ruidoso branches for increased costs of providing services to students seeking general educational development certificates. The appropriation may be expended on computer hardware and software, computer training for students, staff professional development and other costs associated with the new requirements for general educational development certification. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
