AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A COMMUNITY REENTRY PROGRAM FOR PERSONS WHO ARE COMPLETING OR HAVE COMPLETED PROBATION OR PAROLE SENTENCES AND WHO RESIDE IN CERTAIN NEIGHBORHOODS IN ALBUQUERQUE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to allow the city of Albuquerque to contract with a community organization for a community reentry program that will provide job skills training and job placement services to persons who are completing or have completed probation or parole sentences and who reside in the neighborhoods of John Marshall, south Broadway, east San Jose and Kirtland addition in Albuquerque. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
