A MEMORIAL

PROCLAIMING FEBRUARY 13, 2013 "GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL AND TRANSGENDER DAY" IN THE SENATE.

     WHEREAS, the great state of New Mexico prides itself on its authentic heritage and culture, celebrating diversity and welcoming visitors from all over the world; and

     WHEREAS, the New Mexico senate welcomes members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community to the state capitol; and

     WHEREAS, New Mexico's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is composed of vibrant residents who are members of the state's working community, including teachers, doctors, attorneys, accountants, activists and clergy; and

     WHEREAS, the New Mexico senate celebrates all families;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that February 13, 2013 be proclaimed "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Day" in the senate.
