AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR THE FOREST AND WATERSHED RESTORATION INSTITUTE TO CREATE A RESTORATIVE CONSERVATION CORPS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 and subsequent fiscal years to pay for the New Mexico forest and watershed restoration institute to create a restorative conservation corps to restore watersheds throughout the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
