    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 557

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, after the semicolon, insert "PROVIDING A PURPOSE FOR THE RURAL JOB TAX CREDIT;".

    2. On page 2, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. The purpose of the rural job tax credit is to encourage businesses to start new businesses in rural areas of the state.".

    3. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    4. On page 3, line 7, strike "C" and insert in lieu thereof "D".

    5. On page 5, line 18, strike "J" and insert in lieu thereof "K".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
