AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE NEW MEXICO YOUNG FATHERS PROJECT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 for the New Mexico young fathers project to promote social and family stability by improving the quality of father-child relationships in young families and by preventing repeat pregnancies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
