AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT WITH A CONSORTIUM OF PRIMARY CARE TRAINING PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to contract with a consortium of primary care training programs, with the goal of expanding and improving the quantity and quality of family medicine residency training opportunities in the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
