AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO RETAIN MEDICAL SCHOOL FACULTY AT ITS HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million three hundred forty-two thousand nine hundred dollars ($1,342,900) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to retain medical school faculty at its health sciences center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
