    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 445

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following

new subsection:

          "D. "hospital" means any general or special hospital licensed by the department, whether publicly or privately owned;".

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     3. On page 2, line 18, strike "eight" and insert in lieu thereof "eleven".

     4. On page 2, line 20, after "A.", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 21 through "or" and insert in lieu thereof "seven nurses who provide direct patient care but are not hospital nurse managers or hospital".

     5. On page 2, strike line 23 through the semicolon.

     6. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

     7. On page 2, line 24, strike "any other qualified person" and insert in lieu thereof "four other qualified persons".

     8. On page 5, strike lines 6 and 7 in their entirety.

     9. On page 5, line 8, strike the paragraph designation "(1)" and insert in lieu thereof the subsection designation "A.".

     10. On page 5, line 10, strike the paragraph designation "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof the subsection designation "B.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
