AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR A PROGRAM TO INCREASE BASIC MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE SKILLS AND IMPROVE READINESS FOR THE TRANSITION FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUTH IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to provide services to increase basic mathematics and science skills and improve readiness for the transition from high school to post-secondary education for disadvantaged youth in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
