AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN THE CEMETERY AT THE FORT STANTON STATE MONUMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 and subsequent fiscal years to improve and maintain the cemetery at the Fort Stanton state monument, contingent on the department receiving a grant of seven million five hundred thousand dollars ($7,500,000) from the United States department of veterans affairs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
