FOR THE ECONOMIC AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT A PROGRAM TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN BUSINESSES AND TO CREATE JOBS IN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred eighty thousand dollars ($880,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to support a program to attract and retain businesses and to create jobs in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
