A MEMORIAL
RECOGNIZING THE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE LOVINGTON MASONIC LODGE NUMBER 46 TO THE LOVINGTON COMMUNITY, LEA COUNTY AND THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO; DECLARING 2012 "LOVINGTON LODGE CENTENNIAL YEAR".
WHEREAS, the state of New Mexico will be celebrating the centennial anniversary of its statehood in 2012; and
WHEREAS, freemasons were active and involved in the formation of both the New Mexico territory and the state of New Mexico; and
WHEREAS, the charter members of Lovington Masonic lodge number 46 were pioneer leaders in the development of Lea county; and
WHEREAS, members of Lovington Masonic lodge number 46 continue to be leaders in business and community affairs; and
WHEREAS, members of Lovington Masonic lodge number 46 have valiantly served the country in both conflict and in peace; and
WHEREAS, Lovington Masonic lodge number 46 will celebrate its centennial anniversary on October 23, 2012;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that 2012 be declared "Lovington Lodge Centennial Year" and that recognition be extended to Lovington Masonic lodge number 46, ancient, free and accepted masons, for outstanding contributions to the Lovington community, Lea county and the state of New Mexico; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to Lovington Masonic lodge number 46.
