AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NAVAJO NATION EMERGENCY RESPONSE OPERATIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to provide funding for tribal emergency response operations during emergency situations in the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
