AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT FOR ADOLESCENTS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS, INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, IN THE LAS CRUCES, HATCH VALLEY AND GADSDEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 for distribution to the Las Cruces public school district for academic and behavioral support for adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, including professional development, in the Las Cruces public, Hatch Valley public and Gadsden independent school districts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
