AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS INITIATIVE IN ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to contract for a full-service community schools initiative for Albuquerque public middle and high schools to coordinate, integrate and expand school-based and community-based health care, family involvement and family support with the goal of eliminating nonacademic barriers to learning. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
