AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ONLINE AND BLENDED LEARNING DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM TO DEVELOP SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS COURSES FOR STATEWIDE DELIVERY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 for an online and blended learning distance education program that will develop online science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses for delivery statewide and for public school use of the education gateway sites at New Mexico public post-secondary educational institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
