Mr. President:

    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 188

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 4, strike "medicare".

    2. On page 2, line 5, after "provider", insert "certified by medicare and medicaid".

    3. On page 2, lines 6 and 7, strike "provided by a licensed medicare durable medical equipment provider".

    4. On page 3, before line 1, insert the following new subsection:

         "E. The deductions provided in Subparagraph (b) or (c) of Paragraph (2) of Subsection A of this section shall be taken only by a taxpayer whose gross receipts are no less than ninety percent derived from the sale of prescribed durable medical equipment or prescribed medical supplies.".

    5. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
