Mr. President:
Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 158, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, lines 17 and 18, strike "MAKING AN APPROPRIATION;".
2. On page 2, line 16, after "and", insert ", except for dispensers that are internet pharmacies accredited pursuant to the verified internet pharmacy practice site program that shall report weekly,".
3. On page 6, line 6, strike the ending quotation mark.
4. On page 6, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following new subsection:
"K. As used in this section, "internet pharmacy" means a dispenser that distributes pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, through contacts made by internet, telephone or mail, and has demonstrated to the national association of boards of pharmacy that the internet pharmacy is accredited pursuant to the verified internet pharmacy practice site program and is in compliance with the licensing and inspection requirements of the internet pharmacy's home state and the board of pharmacy of each state to which the internet pharmacy dispenses pharmaceuticals."".
5. On page 12, strike Section 7 in its entirety.
6. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
