AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO POST WARNING SIGNS ON LAKES AND RIVERS WHERE MERCURY LEVELS MAY POSE A RISK TO CHILDREN OR PREGNANT WOMEN.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of game and fish for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to post warning signs on lakes and rivers where mercury levels may pose a risk to children or pregnant women. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
