AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR STATEWIDE PUBLIC HUMANITIES PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to pay for statewide public humanities programs, including a national history day competition. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
