AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE AND AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One million two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($1,230,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 and subsequent fiscal years as follows:

                (1) five hundred seventy thousand dollars ($570,000) to support the operation of the cooperative extension service; and

                (2) six hundred sixty thousand dollars ($660,000) to support the operation of the agricultural experiment station.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
